Immigration Detention San Antonio – Know Your Rights

What is a Writ of Habeas Corpus in Immigration Cases? A Writ of Habeas Corpus is a legal petition filed in Federal District Court that challenges the lawfulness of a person’s detention. In immigration cases, it is one of the most powerful tools available to secure the release of a detained individual.

When immigration authorities detain someone without proper legal justification, an experienced immigration attorney can petition the Federal Court to order their release.
